Why Is My Offer Reward Pending? Tracking, Verification, and Reversals

Understand the complete offer lifecycle—from click and conversion to pending, approved, rejected, or reversed—and learn how to reduce tracking problems.

Pending means the platform has not yet received a final payable confirmation. The provider may be checking milestones, purchases, subscription status, eligibility, fraud signals, or an advertiser hold period.

The offer lifecycle

A user starts with a tracked click. The provider assigns identifiers so later activity can be connected to that click. When a milestone occurs, the provider can report a conversion as pending or approved. The platform then updates the user’s activity and balance according to that status.

Some providers report only a final event; others report installation, intermediate goals, and final goals separately. A marketplace cannot responsibly credit a cash-equivalent balance from a browser click alone.

Common reasons a reward remains pending

  • The advertiser has a standard validation window.
  • A game or app milestone has not yet synced from the advertiser.
  • A purchase is waiting for chargeback or refund risk to pass.
  • A subscription must remain active for a stated period.
  • The provider is checking country, device, new-user, or prior-install eligibility.
  • The event is under fraud or duplicate-account review.

How to improve tracking reliability

Ad blockers, privacy settings, browser-to-app handoffs, prior installations, and interrupted connections can break attribution. No platform can guarantee that every advertiser event will track, so the support process matters.

  • Open the offer from the logged-in reward account.
  • Allow the tracking permissions clearly required by the offer.
  • Use one eligible device and avoid VPNs or location spoofing.
  • Do not switch between multiple offer links for the same app.
  • Complete the exact milestone before its deadline.
  • Keep screenshots of the offer terms, progress, purchase receipt, and completion time.

Rejected versus reversed

A rejected conversion did not become payable. A reversal removes or offsets a conversion that was reported earlier. Reasons can include a refund, cancelled subscription, duplicate event, advertiser correction, fraud determination, or failure to maintain the stated conditions.

A responsible platform records the status change in the activity ledger rather than silently changing the balance. The applicable offer terms and provider evidence determine whether the platform can dispute the result.

What to include in a missing-reward request

  • Offer name, provider, and displayed reward.
  • Start date, completion date, and approximate times.
  • Device, operating system, and country used.
  • Screenshots showing the terms and completed milestone.
  • Order number or receipt with sensitive payment details removed.
  • Any provider or app user ID relevant to the task.

Common questions

Questions beginners ask

How long should a pending reward take?+

It depends on the specific offer and provider. Use the verification window shown before starting. Contact support after that window has passed, not immediately after the milestone.

Can Bountura approve an offer without the provider?+

Bountura relies on connected providers to confirm advertiser-funded conversions. Support can investigate evidence and contact a provider, but it cannot honestly manufacture a provider confirmation.

Why did an approved reward get reversed?+

A provider may later report a refund, cancellation, duplicate event, eligibility failure, fraud signal, or advertiser correction. The platform should display the reversal and its available reason.
